At the University of Guelph-Humber learning goes beyond the classroom! Make the most of your university experience by getting involved and being informed about what’s happening on campus. With our small student population (approximately 4,000 students), it’s easy to feel part of life on campus.

Student Life offers a variety of activities for you to get involved with. First-year students will hear more about these options at our summer Kick Start and Orientation programs from our START Leaders. There’s an academic society for all programs, and a variety of clubs run through student government, from comics to sustainability. Students have the opportunity to join varsity sports at either Humber ITAL or the University of Guelph. Not looking for varsity-level involvement? Don’t worry; there are intramural sports on campus, too.

You’ll also want to check out the Guelph-Humber Student Association. They are always planning new and exciting events for students from all years and programs, such as our yearly Gala dinner and dance. You might even want to consider running for a position on one of the five different forms of student government available to you.

Being a student means so much more than classes and homework. Learning is all about gaining transferable skills that will help you in your future, figuring out who you are as an individual, and having a ton of fun along the way! At the University of Guelph-Humber there truly is something for everyone to get involved in. We’re excited for you to join us to Get Involved! and Be Informed!

“By getting involved in clubs on campus, I made so many new friends and met people outside of my program.”—Tanvi Bakshi, Business student, START leader and GHSA Business rep 2013-14
